We are now looking for a SAS PRE Engineer - Subsea Systems to Stavanger.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical procurement activities, including package strategy, requisitions, pre-order work, and supplier follow-up.
- Act as single point of contact for vendors on technical scope, ensuring coordination and progress across disciplines.
- Prepare and define technical requisitions, specifications, and scope of work for inquiries and purchase orders.
- Conduct bid evaluations, arrange clarification meetings, and support supplier selection.
- Perform detail engineering within instrumentation/SAS scope.
- Participate in FAT and vendor follow-up activities.
- Manage technical change control and supplier documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and effective execution.
- Coordinate integration between subsea systems, vendors, and topside control systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience from NCS projects.
- Proven experience as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) or similar role.
- Strong technical understanding of:
- Topside control systems (SAS).
- Subsea control systems (SCU) including communication, instrumentation, and hydraulics.
- Experience with subsea integration projects and collaboration with subsea suppliers and client organizations.
- Good knowledge of:
- EIT installations.
- NORSOK and relevant IEC standards.
Ability to:
- Work proactively, structured, and transparently.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
- Handle technical changes with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Prioritize effectively under potentially critical timelines.
- Communicate and coordinate across multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
Certifications (recommended):
- Offshore certificate
- EX / EXi
Relevant technical education such as:
- Vocational school / technical certificate
- Associate Degree
- BSc or MSc (relevant engineering discipline)
Software skills:
MIPS, TIME, MS Visio
